Live Blood Analysis, through ultra dark field microscopy, has been practiced now for over 100 years. It was developed in Germany by scientists and doctors. LBA gives a unique perspective on an individual's health by viewing nearly invisible micro-organisms in the blood, the red blood cells , the immune system white cells and a host of other elements floating in the plasma of your blood. It's a powerful way to assess the overall balance of your internal terrain which allows us to see where your health program needs to start in order for you to reach your optimal health.

$10 recommendation prevents amputation

Making the changes in career over the past few years has been overwhelming at times. Time, money, and brain overload have been at the forefront of nearly every day. It is stories like the one below that make it all worth while and inspire me to keep going. It is a story of where a simple 30 minute Live Blood Analysis appointment forever changed the course of a young womans life.
In February of this year, a woman in her 20's was brought into my instructor's office by her mother. They were desparately looking for answers as the young woman was scheduled to have her left leg removed in two weeks, as it had turned black from lack of proper circulation. They gave her maximum of two years before the right leg would have to be removed as well. She had lived with this problem for 7 years and was on high levels of morphine to combat the pain. My instructor had been recommended by a friend but the family was skeptical.
My instructor viewed her blood and said that her artery walls had lost their integrity, collapsing and limiting the flow of blood. Taking copper would help the walls return to proper function and adding gingko short term would improve circulation.
The mother was quite angry and felt that they had wasted their time and money coming to see her. " They are about to cut off her leg and you are telling me that a $10 bottle of copper is all that you can offer us?' They left angry but took the products with them.
A week later they phoned the office. Her pain was all gone and the legs were returning to proper color. Her biggest problem was trying to ween herself off of the morphine as she was experienceing bad withdrawal symptoms.
The day before her scheduled surgey she returned for another Live Blood Analysis which was two weeks after taking the copper and gingko. Her legs were completely normal! She no longer required the amputation. She went in the next day to show the surgeon that he could cancel the surgery.
Obviously they are very thankful that they followed through on their friends advice to get a live blood analysis and also that they followed through with the simple recommendations. The parents were so amazed that they too have booked their own appointments for a live blood analysis.
To me this is an example that one should use every kind of testing available to them as they all have their limitations. Luckily, for this young woman she found the answer before it was too late.

Great News About Resveratrol

The most significant human study to date, which supports the health-enhancing benefits of resveratrol that may address many of the age-related chronic diseases of our time, has just been published!
In a study featured this month in Cell Metabolism, Dutch researchers showed that taking a resveratrol supplement for 30 days significantly lowered multiple markers associated with heart disease, diabetes, cancer, and many other chronic diseases. These include markers of inflammation, improved mitochondrial capacity, lowered blood pressure, and blood glucose.
Since inflammation is at the root of literally hundreds of diseases, this has immense potential health implications. And we know that chronic inflammation leads not only to age-related diseases but to accelerated aging as well! This study also showed reductions in both blood pressure and triglyceride levels, both of which are associated with heart disease risk.
Diabetes has increased a whopping 35% in just the past decade. Until now, the only non-pharmacologic way to improve insulin sensitivity and reduce your risk of developing diabetes has been calorie restriction and weight loss, which is so very hard for people. This study would suggest that adding a high-potency resveratrol supplement may help improve your insulin sensitivity and lower blood sugar levels.
Anyone out there too tired to exercise? Well, this study may provide an answer for this, too! These study participants showed significant increases in markers of mitochondrial function. Mitochondria are your body’s energy producers, which tend to decrease in number and output as we age. The increases seen in this study were similar to those seen with endurance training. So get some of the energy benefits associated with exercise and ramp up your mitochondria just by taking a resveratrol supplement! Sounds too good to be true, but I must say the results here are compelling and exciting.
My advice is that, along with trying to eat better and exercise regularly, it makes better sense than ever to add a high-potency resveratrol supplement to your daily routine.

A 30 day supply of Shaklee's Vivix delivers the equvalent amount of resveratrol contained in 3000 glasses of red wine.

Nutrition and the Brain

I have been flying through the last two courses of my RNH studies. The information is so exciting and gravitating but the one area that really got my attention is how Nutrtion affects the brain.
It really opened my eyes. When our nutrition is poor we can all understand how it can physically affect our liver , heart etc, but most of us don't realize what great affects bad nutiriton can have on our brains. If our brains are not functionally ideally the symptoms are endless and the consequences can be very vast as our brain controls our thoughts, decisions and actions.
Brain health is fully dependent on good nutrition. We often judge people with mental illness and see them in a different light than those that may have heart disease or kidney disease, but the brain is just one more organ that needs specific nutrients in order to operate optimally.
It really made me wonder about all the people locked up in prison and institutions, and all the school kids that are controlled with Ritalin. How much does nutritional deficiencess and toxic exposures play in where they are now? I think it's time to bring nutrition education to the forefront.

Do You Treat Your Car Better Than Your Body?

As I further myself in my studies I just can't stress enough how taking a few steps towards a healthier lifestyle and diet can take you leaps towards preventing disease.
It may be true that some disease falls in one's lap but for the most part we create disease. Our bodies are absolutely amazing and if we really knew the damage and hardship that we submit to our bodies on a daily basis I think that we would all think twice about our lifestyle and our diet.
Could you imagine owning a Lamborghini...never changing the oil, using dirty fuel, and driving it off-road on a daily basis and than complaining when it starts to spit and sputter and break down?
Our bodies handle all the neglect and abuse way better than any vehicle or machine because our bodies have the ability to repair themselves. We have a whole staff of housekeepers, armed guards and repairmen on duty 24/7. If we overload our staff things start to pileup. Have you seen the show Hoarders?
If you want to learn the simple steps that you and your family can take to ease the load your body give me a call.

Blood Type and Diet

Do you know your blood type? For years I thought the only importance for knowing mine was for medical emergency situations, but just over 3 years ago I came across some information that blood types A's (my blood type) have a higher incidence of gallstones and heart disease. This lead me to further explore this area because I had already been suffering from gallstones for many years and my doctor was urging me to get my gall bladder removed.
Then I was introduced to Dr. Peter J. D'Adamo's book called Eat Right 4 Your Blood Type. Amongst all of the information is a list of foods that either benefit your blood type, are neutral, or should be avoided
I found this very intriguing and began to follow the guide about 70% of the time. The two biggest changes for me was to avoid dairy and red meat products.
I had began supplementing with Shaklee products about a year before this and my gallstone symptoms had lessened by about 50%. After only a few months of following the Blood Type diet I noticed that I had not been bothered by any gallstone issues. I have now been symptom free since then...and guess what ? I still have my gall bladder! No surgery...no pain.
It is my belief that the gall stones or gall bladder were not the problem....my diet was. The pain was a warning sign to make changes.
Since I have seen my own success with following the blood type diet, I have incorporated it into the regular program of XL Vitality. At your first session you will be blood typed (unless you already know yours) and I have charts available that correlate with each Blood Type so that you can begin to incorporate the foods that benefit you and avoid the ones that don't.

Question of the day- "If you were getting painful blisters on your feet, would you remove your feet or look more closely at your shoes?"
